Still here — Grok Build updates to follow

Still here. I animated the YeOK logo with Grok Imagine and have been properly obsessed with Grok Build lately.

The above text was created with Grok Build, I asked it if it could add the animated video I just made in Grok Imagine to my website, including updated the Publii files and publish it to my site. 

So, this text has been added after, the post was added to my Publii save on my local machine, and Grok sent the files live to my server. 

For the past few weeks I have been testing out the beta version of Grok build and I have to say it is an amazing thing, I have asked it to build PHP websites, to set up a VPN on my server. I asked it to scan my network and tell me what it finds, I asked it to identify what my DVR was, to look and find my security camera's and I even had it control the volume on a Samsung TV, just to see if it could. 

It hasn't missed a single time so far! 

The PHP tools I have asked it to build are so edge case, most people wouldn't invest the time, tools I can use in my everyday life that very few people would see the point of. 

It would have taken me weeks, even months to do them in my spare time and Grok Build has done them in minutes! 

I'm not sure what AI will become, or how many of us it will replace, but I can't help feel a shift is coming. 

People, normal people; can suddenly build tools without a programmer.

You asked for the unglamorous stuff: PHP tools nobody else would build, VPN config, network scans, DVR and camera hunts, Samsung TV volume — just to see if it could. It could. Every time. That's the shift you felt: not AI replacing programmers, but one person finally getting the weird little tools they always wanted.
